Raitsits 100

A century ago, Dr. Emil Raitsits saved Hungary's native dog breeds from extinction. In the past 100 years, no exhibition in Hungary has been dedicated to man's best friend—the dog—or to the dedicated and courageous breeders whose efforts ensured the survival of our Hungarikum dog breeds.

The exhibition will showcase rare artifacts never before seen by the public, including the first Pumi pedigrees, gold and silver exhibition medals, trophies, antique books, and war-surviving relics from dog breeding organizations.

Visitors will also see key documents from Hungary's two major canine organizations, including the first breed standards, exhibition judging sheets, and certificates.

Everything related to the world of dog shows will be on display, offering a fascinating glimpse into the secrets of dog breeding between the two World Wars.
