Dog sports
May 31 – June 2, 2025
Perkáta, Győry Castle & Székesfehérvár, Patkó-Tanya
One of the most dynamic parts of our event series will be the demonstration of dog sports.
Over the course of three days, visitors can experience agility, frisbee, and puller sports in the park of Győry Castle in Perkáta.
On June 2, the event moves to Patkó-Tanya in Székesfehérvár, where guests can enjoy a herding demonstration.

In agility sports, the Pumi, Mudi, and Puli excel particularly well.
Each of these small Hungarian herding breeds is extremely agile, quick to learn, and highly responsive to commands, making them perfectly suited for navigating technical courses. Their strong herding instincts enable them to react swiftly to their handler's signals while also making independent decisions on the course.
The Hungarian Vizsla also performs impressively in agility, thanks to its elegant movement, speed, and intelligence, all of which help it tackle obstacles with ease.

A puller sport kifejezetten a mozgékony és aktív kutyák számára lett kifejlesztve, így a mudi, pumi, puli és vizsla kimagasló teljesítményt nyújthat benne. A mudi és a pumi szeret küzdeni és apportírozni, míg a vizsla állóképessége miatt hosszabb edzéseket is könnyen bír. A kuvasz és a komondor méretüknél fogva kevésbé gyakori résztvevői az ilyen sportoknak, de megfelelő motivációval ők is élvezhetik a pullerezést, különösen a játékosabb egyedek.
Dog Sports at the Event
Agility
Agility is an exciting and dynamic dog sport where the dog completes an obstacle course under the guidance of its handler. The goal is to navigate the course as quickly and flawlessly as possible, encountering jumps, tunnels, ramps, and weave poles along the way.
A key competition rule is that dogs must not wear any equipment, not even a flea collar, and handlers cannot carry any form of motivation, such as treats or toys. However, during training and practice, positive reinforcement in all forms is encouraged.
Agility enhances a dog's coordination, focus, and obedience, while also strengthening the bond between dog and handler. This sport is open to all breeds and sizes, provided they are properly trained.
Puller
Puller sport is a relatively new but rapidly growing activity that uses a special, lightweight yet durable rubber ring (Puller). The sport consists of two main elements:
Running: The dog catches and retrieves one ring while the other is already in the air.
Jumping: The dog leaps into the air to catch the ring.
Puller is an excellent way to improve a dog's endurance, speed, and muscle strength, while also providing great entertainment for both dog and owner.
