Raitsits 100 Exhibition
Perkáta, Győry Castle
It has been 100 years since Dr. Emil Raitsits saved Hungary's native dog breeds from extinction. Over the past century, no exhibition in Hungary has been dedicated to man's best friend and the dedicated, courageous breeders whose work ensured the survival of our Hungarikum dog breeds.
The Raitsits 100 Exhibition presents rare artifacts never before seen by the public, including the first Pumi pedigrees, gold and silver exhibition medals, trophies, antique books, and relics from dog breeding organizations that survived the war. Visitors will also see key documents from Hungary's two major canine organizations, the first breed standards, exhibition judging sheets, and certificates.
This exhibition showcases everything related to the world of dog shows and provides a glimpse into the secrets of dog breeding between the two World Wars.
